Family

Gayle Garbolino-Mojica comes from family that has a long history of public service in Placer County:

  • Her grandfather, Fred Garbolino, was the Civil Defense Director for Placer County during WWII before being named Volunteer Fire Chief in Roseville;
  • Her father, Judge James Garbolino, worked in the Governor’s office under Governor Reagan, was a Placer County Special Prosecutor, and served 20 years as a Placer County Superior Court Judge before retiring after a long and distinguished career;
  • Her mother, Mayor Gina Garbolino, has been on numerous boards and commissions for more than 20 years prior to being elected to the Roseville City Council and currently serves as the Mayor of Roseville;
  • Gayle and her husband of 13 years Ed Mojica, live in Roseville and raise their two sons Jack (age 9), and Max (age 5) with an eye towards public service as she was raised herself.
  • Gayle’s candidacy continues her family’s legacy of public service to the citizens of Placer County by fusing her strong commitment to public service with her passion about educating our youth.
